I recently had cause to visit Bath on business and decided to stay for the remainder of the weekend. I'm glad I did because it is such a super city, a real gem amongst our midst. The sheer class of the place is almost frightening in itself.
I had to find a hotel pretty sharpish and decided to use the trusty old iPhone from the cafe. Imagine my pleasure when the cafe owner told me about a website with nothing but hotels in Bath on it. It was so easy to peruse the neat little boxes, each had a picture and a short bulleted list of the main features of the hotels.
The architecture is what gets me, it's so authentic and beautifully kept up, the building maintenance industry must be in better shape in Bath than elsewhere in the country - you can see it in the hotels.
I would heartily recommend trusting your hotel to provide at least one meal of your stay. The chef at mine was introduced to me afterwards, I was so impressed with the quality of the meal.
Everything you could expect from a good hotel was to be found in the room such as cable TV and fast broadband, but if I were you, I would be tempted to stay off the web and just enjoy your stay - I did!
